Vic: Boy burnt in explosion after chemicals mixed

A boy has been hurt in an explosion in Victoria.

He is one of two boys who were experimenting with chemicals at a property west of Melbourne,
when the mixture exploded.

One 12-year-old boy received burns to the face, chest and arms.

He was airlifted to Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital, where he is said to be in
a stable condition.

Police say the explosion occurred at the property in Ramsay Crescent, Darley, near Bacchus Marsh.

The second boy, aged 11, was not injured.
